St. Brendan's Boys Primary School

This year again we ran both our junior and senior hurling leagues. These leagues have been a tradition in the school for many years with the emphasis being put on participation and enjoyment. There was a great turnout of players and both teachers and pupils gave up their lunch time breaks to play and organise these games. This year the junior league final was contested by Niall Hehir’s team and Ben Russell’s team with Niall’s team being the eventual winners. Niall Hehir was presented with the St. Brendan’s Cup at an awards ceremony in the school. The senior league final saw Patrick Kelly’s team against Ryan O  Meara’s with Patrick just shading it on the day. Patrick was presented with the Kenneth Fox Perpetual Trophy at the awards ceremony in the school. Well done to all the lads. Congratulations to Stefan Feehan who won this years Hurler of the Year award. He was presented with the Aidan Rosney Perpetual Trophy at an awards ceremony in the school.
