Remembrance Service Nov ‘ 08

On Nov 28th we held a Remembrance Service for people who have passed away. The theme for the service was ” The Garden of Remembrance “. Each pupil placed a paper leaf on the trees in memory of a loved one who had passd away. Mrs. Bergin and Mrs. O Callaghan were close to all our hearts on this special day.

Triduum Masses Nov ’08

Pupils from fifth and sixth class represented our school at a mass in St. Brendan’s Church as part of the Triduum of Masses in the parish.

Modern Dance Show Nov ’08

Mr. Carroll’s class continue to improve their mathematical skills with the ” Maths for Fun Project”. Many thanks to all parents who give of their time and energy to help out with the scheme.

Honk the Musical Nov ’08

A large group of pupils vsited the Community School to see the musical ” Honk “. Many of our past pupils were on stage and congratulations to Curtis Reynolds and Mark Haines who were prize winners in the art competition.

A West Midlands Theatre group performed The Legend of the Dragon which was thoroughly enjoyed by all classes.

Science Exhibition Nov ’08

As part of Science Week senior classes visited the Science Exhibition in Birr Castle. They were treated to some wonderful exhibits on electricity, magnetism and unusual chemical reactions.
