Well done to Mr Hogan 3rd class who took part in this years WRITE A BOOK project with Laois Education Centre- This year there was a dual-language focus which the boys enjoyed – well done to our school winner Jack Gibbons in the overall event !

Raising the 6th Green schools flag !
Well done to our fantastic Green school committee 2024/2025 for all your hard work and leadership in successfully achieving our 6th green flag for the school. Proud day following in great green school tradition started many years ago by Maria Donegan. Last Thursday the boys had a lovely assembly and then the whole school went outside to see the flag being raised ( from car park due to building works ) – then the ice cream van arrived later to give all the boys a nice treat !

Congratulations to our Green school committee on receiving our 6th green flag at the national An Taisce Green schools awards in Athlone – Thanks to Green school co-ordinator Ms Ciara Collins who attended with Mr Butler and 6th class boys Shane and Donald – a fantastic event and great to bring home the Green flag !
