Our Sports Day was a great success again this year. The mixed ability groups enjoyed participating in all the various sporting activities. The Br. Finian Cup ( 6th class long race ) was won by Alex Sadowski. Well done to Mrs. Lonergan for all the organising. Our Parents’ Association ran a wonderful Cake Sale on the same day. There was a large variety of cakes and buns on display. Many thanks to all who contributed and supported this wonderful project. We also had the Green Flag Ceremony to finish off our day. (more…)

Congratulations to Ian 6th class on winning this years Enterprise Award. This award is presented by the Offaly Enterprise Board to young pupils who show great initiative in doing jobs around the community. Ian cut grass, did the shopping, walked dogs, chopped sticks, brought in turf, did the gardening and various other chores for family , friends and neighbours. Well done Ian for showing great initiative and creative thinking backed up by a good work ethic.

Our School Tours visited a variety of destinations covering in a practical way many cross-curricular areas of their educational programme. Places visited included University of Limerick, Killaloe Adventure Centre, Kilvahan Pet Farm Portlaoise, Kinnity Mountains, Glendeer Pet Farm and Birr Castle. We would like to thank the teachers for their energy and efforts, all parents for their support but mostly our pupils who always show exemplary behaviour during these activities.
