Suggested activities for this week

Parents,
Please see below some suggested activities for this week.

22/06/2020
Virtual School Tour – (see attached sheet) – You can choose what tour you would like to take. I do not expect Junior Infants to write a report, but if you like you could record a few sentences about what you have learnt and your favourite part of it on Seesaw.
23/06/2020
Virtual Sports Day – (see attached sheet) – There are some sports activities to try today. Try and complete as many as you can. Get as many people in your family as you can to take part and have fun! Send us a photo of how you get on through Seesaw.

24/06/2020

I will be holding a Zoom call with the boys today at 12.00/ midday. I was hoping we could do a ‘show and tell’, perhaps a favourite toy/ somewhere they have been. I would appreciate it they could have a few lines prepared on it. I know they would love to see each other again and I would love to say goodbye to them too.

If perhaps some cannot make the zoom call, I want to take this opportunity to thank you all so much for your support. My experience with your children will be one I never forget. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. They are a super bunch of boys who made teaching a very easy job for me. You should be so proud of your children. I wish them the best and brightest future.

Thanks
Cathy Daly.

Homework 8th – 19th June 2020
Junior Infants

Parents, thank you so much for taking my calls over the last couple of weeks.
There are only a couple more weeks of school left. I would just like to say well done to everyone for all the great work they are doing and thank you so much for your support.
Following our conversation, over the next two weeks I would like if you would use the Check List (which you received in the post last week) to revise the boys sounds/letters/ and tricky words etc. and also the maths revision booklet.
This will highlight any sounds/letter names/words etc. or maths area/s that the boys need to focus on and maybe spend a little more time learning.
As we discussed the stamped addressed envelope provided can be used to send back any work to me.
I did include an extra pack also for anyone who may need it.
Also please continue to complete the seesaw activities, I know the children are enjoying them.
Our symbaloo also has the links to more SESE, fine motor, PE activities. Don’t forget the read aloud book for you to access with your son.

I am hoping to hold a Zoom call with the boys the last week in June and hopefully I might get to read a short story and have a quick chat with them (some boys were full of chat and stories with me on the phone, I think they would enjoy seeing each other too).
I will be in contact again next week but in the meantime if you have any questions/ queries you can email me on:
cdaly@stbrendansps.ie

Thanks
Ms. Daly
